Regatta Pointe Marina Is Getting Ready For The 2019 Bradenton Area Riverwalk Regatta

Regatta Pointe Marina will see the return of the all FREE Bradenton Area Riverwalk Regatta on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019! The excitement will take place on and around the Manatee River, weather permitting.

CLICK HERE TO VISIT THE RIVERWALK REGATTA WEBSITE

The fifth annual Bradenton Area River Regatta oozes over–the–top exhilaration coupled with all the traditional festival favorites—music, food, fun things to do—in one awe-gasping extravaganza that will fascinate spectators of all ages long after the day is done.
It all starts with the fastest inland boats on water and the largest tunnel boat race on tour—Powerboat Superleague Formula-2—splitting the surf at speeds over 120/mph.
And to make sure you get all the speed you need, we’ve added Formula-3 racing this year…nimble, agile and nearly as fast—at speeds hitting 100/mph!

With music that will make your feet move and body groove all day long…on two main stage venues…STARRING IN BRADENTON—national recording artists and Bradenton natives: WE THE KINGS…and headliners on PALMETTO’S MAIN STAGE, from Arcadia, FL, country music group: the Andy Pursell Band.

Watch as world fly-boarding Champion Kristen Smoyer skies 80 feet into the air on an elevator of water in one somersaulting sequence of acrobatic moves. Then marvel at all the fun four-legs can conjure up in the Frisbee® flying, canine trick antics of Team Zoom and Daredevil Dogs.

Plus cool kids zones on both shores of the river and enough food and drinks to satisfy appetites large and small. And, the after-dark delights are spectacular, too, as the nation’s “First Family of Fireworks,” Zambelli Internationale, paints the sky over the Manatee River with pyrotechnic wizardry to end the day in one rousing blast of kaleidoscopic beauty.

The all FREE, fifth annual Bradenton Area River Regatta, Saturday, February 9, 2019. Save the date then savor the excitement!

No Concerns About Red Tide At Riverhouse Reef & Grill

The Riverhouse Reef & Grill is fortunate to escape nearly all of the effects of the recent red tide bloom that has tragically affected the sea life along our Gulf coast.

If you are looking for waterfront dining in our region without concern of red tide, we’ve got you covered. The majority of the water filling the Manatee River is supplied directly from Lake Manatee, meaning we enjoy clean water on our banks.

Take in the scenes on our deck or enjoy stunning waterfront views from inside our restaurant, which has 270-degree window views of our marine environment.

If you’d like more information about Red Tide Bloom and current conditions, please visit the research page presented by Mote Marine Laboratory.

Affordable On-Water Boating Training Course April 28, 29 In Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla., April 10, 2018 – Want to learn the basics of powerboating or brush up on your skills? The nonprofit BoatUS Foundation for Boating Safety and Clean Water together with Freedom Boat Club Pensacola offer an affordable and fun ‘Intro to Boating’ course taught aboard 21-foot powerboats on Saturday, April 28, and Sunday, April 29, at the club’s location at 1901 Cypress Street.

Priced at $149 per person and starting at either 9 or 9:30 a.m., the three-hour ‘Intro to Boating’ course covers shifting and steering, basic docking, open-water handling and basic navigation. Class size is limited to three students per vessel, ensuring each student gets sufficient time at the helm.

The goal of the BoatUS Foundation and Freedom Boat Club Pensacola course is to address the high costs typically associated with at-the-helm training, making hands-on boating education more affordable. It also offers area residents the chance to try out recreational boating and give boaters the opportunity to brush up their skills before the summer boating season.

Space is limited. Must be 21 years or older. To sign up for a course, go to https://goo.gl/VM5tWu.
