Live Shrimp Bait Regatta Pointe Marina Ship Store Bradenton Palmetto

Come to the Regatta Pointe Marina ship store for live shrimp bait when you fish the Manatee River, Tampa Bay, or the Gulf of Mexico in Bradenton or Palmetto, FL.

Live shrimp bait at Regatta Pointe Marina ship store.

Dead or alive, shrimp are one of the best and most popular forms of live bait for saltwater or brackish fishing. Shrimp are located near the bottom of the nautical food chain, much like the minnows and other small marine animals commonly used as bait.  Larger fish see shrimp as easy prey, and a major source of their diet.

Shrimp are a great option for attracting redfish, bluefish and grouper as well as rock dwelling fish such as flounder.  For boater’s in Palmetto, there’s not better place to stock up on live shrimp than at the Regatta Pointe Marina ship store.  Stop in and fill up your bait box, fuel tank and grab snacks and sodas with quick access to the Gulf of Mexico, Tampa Bay and/or the Manatee River.

Regatta Pointe Marina is located on the Manatee River at 1001 Riverside Dr. in Palmetto, FL.  The marina was voted the 2013 and the 2014 winner of the Bradenton Herald’s People’s Choice Award for Best Marina.

Wedding Review: Carrie and her crew worked like a well oiled machine …

We had my niece’s wedding and reception here. The catering manager, Carrie and her crew worked like a well oiled machine to make this an event to remember. They were professional, efficient, courteous and catered to every detail we requested, and helped to make this a beautifully memorable event. They followed my sister’s color choices, layout, and table setting plan to a T, and allowed us to get in the day before, and morning to execute our elaborate setup.
Aside from the amazing, courteous service, the venue itself is beautiful, scenic (on the water in a marina) clean and perfectly suited for this or any other type of event.

And let’s not forget the food. My sister chose 5 menu choices for the guests to choose from. Everything was deliciously prepared and beautifully presented – a far cry from most “event food” I’ve eaten in the past. From the filet cooked to perfection, to the vegan portabella mushroom dinner (as a vegan my expectations were low), all of the food far surpassed my expectations.

The Many Benefits of Liveaboard Boating in Palmetto, FL

With a little research, you’ll find that Regatta Pointe Marina is widely recognized as west Florida’s premier destination for liveaboard boaters.  We have a wide array of people from many walks of life in our liveaboard community. Some of the great aspects of life at Regatta Pointe Marina, are the benefits of living on the water in Palmetto, FL.

Regatta Pointe Marina sits on the Manatee River, which separates Bradenton and Palmetto.  While Regatta Pointe Marina’s location is on the quieter side of the river near the sleepy small-town feel of Palmetto. Palmetto is only minutes away from some of Florida’s largest shopping outlets, including the shops in Ellington (which include major brands like Banana Republic, Gap, Coach and Ralph Lauren to name a few).  Just across the river is the lively downtown to Bradenton, where you’ll find great nightlife and McKechnie Field, home to the Bradenton Mauaraders (a Minor League affiliate for the Pittsburgh Pirates).

Approximately 15 miles south of Regatta Pointe Marina on Hwy 41, you’ll find the Bradenton-Sarasota international airport, and many great opportunities for arts and culture, including the Ringling Museum of Art and Design, the VanWezel Performing Arts Hall, Sarasota Ballet and more.

Just minutes to the north is the beautiful St. Petersburg-Tampa region and the many great boating & fishing opportunities afforded by Tampa Bay. The Tampa region includes some of the top rated beaches in the world, an international airport, professional sports teams, incredible restaurants and nightlife.

These are just some of the near endless reasons that living aboard at Regatta Pointe Marina provides the easiest access to off board fun. Life in Palmetto gives you a quite place to call home, but plenty of places to go when you’re ready to live it up Florida-Florida style.
